The world’s most successful classical crossover artist, the Welsh Mezzo Soprano, Katherine Jenkins will be performing here at the Trent FM Arena Nottingham on Sunday March 7th 2010.
She is one of Britain’s favourite singers and is deemed to be one of most forward thinking, creative and progressive artists of her generation. She has achieved world wide success and has worked with some of the most critically acclaimed stars in the music industry.
Katherine has spent the last few months in Los Angeles working on her first album with new label, Warner Bros Records, which will be released in Autumn 2009. The new album sees Katherine take a new and bold direction and we can’t wait to see her perform some of the hits off the album her at the Arena next year.
Adding to the evening’s entertainment will be the support act Escala. In 2008 the group auditioned for the popular talent show ‘Britain’s Got Talent’. They were an instant success with the judges and they reached the finals only to be beaten by street dancer George Sampson.
But their defeat didn’t stop them, shortly after they had appeared on ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ they signed a £1.5million contract deal with Sony BMG. They released their self titled debut album Escala in May 2009.
