Jeff Wayne’s Musical Version of The War of The Worlds – Alive On Stage! The spectacular live multi-media extravaganza, is back by popular demand at Trent FM Arena Nottingham to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the release of the album!
This year’s show features Jeff Wayne once more conducting The Black Smoke Band and The ULLAdubULLA strings and features Justin Hayward, Shannon Noll & special guest star Jennifer Ellison , with other Guest Artists soon to be announced.
Audiences will be wowed with ground breaking technology including:
- 11 foot high, 3D floating hologram of Richard Burton as George Herbert, the journalist
- 3 tonne, 35 foot tall Martian fighting machine firing heat rays at the audience and scanning them with its bug-like eyes!
- 100 foot wide by 25 foot high screen projecting CGI animation
- Flames and Pyro plus other exciting special effects to heighten the audience’s interactive experience!
This is set to be the best live production of the show ever and Jeff Wayne said: “To be playing our third UK arena tour for the third consecutive year has been a success way beyond anything we had envisioned. It’s a measure of the loyal support of many fans over the years, as well as the word-of-mouth about the uniqueness of The War of the Worlds alive on stage…We’re most excited about this 30th anniversary production as I believe we will have raised the bar once again and we hope we’ll blow away first time visitors or those who may have seen TWOTW before”.
