It’s all change for the sales and marketing team at the East Midland’s biggest entertainment and sporting venue – Trent FM Arena Nottingham and the National Ice Centre.
After just over two years at the venue, Sales and Marketing Director Julie Warren has regretfully decided to terminate her full time employment with the company due to family illness.
Geoff Huckstep, Chief Executive said: “Julie has made an excellent contribution to the business and her hard work, commitment and dedication has helped the Arena develop into a major player on the live music scene; she has also brought her considerable experience and expertise to bear, not only in the day to day management of the region’s busiest venue but also in terms of the strategic direction of the business as a member of the Executive Management team”.
He went on to say, “I am delighted, however, that Julie will not be saying goodbye totally to the Trent FM Arena Nottingham as she will continue working for us on a part-time basis in a consultancy role on a specific ticketing project aimed at bringing even more added value to our promoters and event organisers”.
Julie said: “Since joining the venue in July 2006 I have thoroughly enjoyed working with my team of sixteen on the various areas of responsibility supporting the sales, hospitality and marketing functions for the business.
The diversity of events and activities at Trent FM Arena Nottingham and the National Ice Centre has ensured that there has never been a dull moment and certainly no two days have ever been the same!
It has been a real pleasure to be part of the continuing expansion of the business – in particular devising campaigns and brand strengthening activities to deliver growth in all areas including an excellent 48% increase in the conference business, working with existing partnerships to maximise opportunities for all parties, establishing the online Members Club and delivering the Trent FM naming rights package.”
Julie added: “It’s a great venue with a great team and I am delighted to still be working with the business as Marketing Consultant for the immediate future.”
